With ongoing assessment, teachers can focus on all aspects of a child’s development and support them as they grow to the next level of development. We also use the Experience God curriculum to support our 3 year-olds with prayer and Bible study.
The 1 and 2 year-olds are taught using ABEKA, a Christian-based curriculum. The curriculum is designed to address social-emotional development, sharing, letters, shapes, colors, speech, interaction with peers, motor skills, etc. Ascension Christian Early Learning Center provides Biblical learning opportunities in just about everything your child does throughout the day. Children learn life’s most valuable lessons through play. Each day, children participate in Circle Time for story time, color/number/shape/letter review, music and movement, calendar and weather discussion and more. During circle time children learn to express their ideas and discover their world independently. In addition to circle time, learning centers throughout the classroom provide countless educational opportunities. No matter which area captures your child’s interest on a particular day, important skills are being developed routinely.
